Home is in the Body

2SLGBTQIA+ FilipinX Femme, North of the 49th Parallel

Home is in the Body

Home is in the Body is a guide, a compass, a map, an orientation of positionality and allyship for two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, asexual, plus FilipinX femme in the diaspora north of the 49th parallel on what is called Turtle Island by Indigenous peoples in North America. It is an understanding of liminal space in our responsibilities as accomplices to Land Back, to Black Lives Matters, and to our decolonial histories. This anthology acknowledges joy through unapologetic and authentic personal narratives by a diverse group of FilipinX femme, non-binary folks, and allies celebrating identity in story, imagery, essay, artwork, interview, poetry, and prose. Created with the intention of curating a gift that our younger selves needed growing up: to love who we love and to identify as who we are, it is a moving and thoughtful collection about self, identity, community, love, queering space, and what it is to hold each other with care.
